Default HP estimates?

Hey fella's.
I plan doing a few more mods to the 93 this spring and wanted to get some feedback on what you guys think my rearwheel HP numbers will look like after the bolton's.
The car is a 93 6-speed, stock gears.
-ported stock heads with 3 angle valve job
-Comp Cam 503 cam, 224/230
-1.6RR with upgraded springs
-new opti
-Meziere electric water pump
-Double roller timing chain
-Pacesetter shorty headers
-Random Tech bullit cats
-Borla cat back
-Vortex air rammer intake
-Tuned by Alvin at PCM For Less

I think that's everything. The car pulled between 340-345 to the rear wheels last year. Since then I've added underdrive pulleys and will be adding long tube headers, porting the intake manifold, and 30# SVO injectors along with a mail away tune from Alvin.

I'm hoping for numbers in the 370 range. Let me here your thoughts.

I think you could add another 20 hp with those other mods.

I think the long tube headers alone will get you very close.......

I personally would do a 58mm throttle body......along with intake manifold porting....

Remove screen in MAF....

Were your injectors maxed out on your last tune??? If not I am not sure how much you will gain there unless the existing ones are tired/dirty or ???

Good luck......hope you make it...you should be close.....

I think that you will gain around 20 hp, but I don't think that you need a 58mm tb. A 52mm should be fine.

Thanks Bud.
Correct, I do not have a MAF sensor.
My injectors were maxed out at the last tune. Alvin and Rottie suggested I go with the 30# SVO units.
I think I'll get at least 20 more with the long tubes and ported intake and underdrive pulleys, hoping for at least 30 though.
I think I'll call it quits for a minute after this last set of mods...that is, until I lose a race.

I'm guessing about 25-30hp or so..

Let us know..

ps. how were your injectors maxed out at only 345rwhp???
Don't LT1's come with 24lbs injectors stock?

On my '85 I was pushing over 400hp with the supercharger with 24lbs injectors from a '95 lt1..

With all that good stuff, LT headers should pick up 15-20hp. The pulleys maybe 2hp.

(I'm very surprised it didn't do better than the 340/345hp. That's only about 30hp more than my stock engine )

I believe they were 22# units. I think the LT4's come with the 24# injectors.
After about 5500 rpm it starts running lean and ends up at about 13.5 to 1 AFR at 6000 RPM. I would think more injector would allow me to run up to 6000-6200 safer and free up some more ponies.

92 -93s were 22# but rated at 24. go figure how gm worked that out. 94 + has #24s. From what i remember readng LT4s had #26 but i can't be sure of that.

Im guessing you are asking about the longtubes, injectors and pullies. I like to be conservative about things (never get dissapointed that way).
I'd guess headers will add 10 rwhp, pullies 2-4, injectors + a tune maybe 5-10 more.

good luck !

he has 340-345 to the 'Wheels'. 02-04 z06s put out the same and were rated at 405 flywheel. so thats 105 over your stocker

I prefer to over estimate and then be dissapointed.

........sounds like an injector upgrade is a good idea, but if you haven't I would also replace the fuel filter.......if it is the original it is getting pretty old....maybe gummed up a little......mine is new, just as a precaution...

Most 02-04 Zs make 350-360 at the rear wheels. Mine made 359 at the rear wheels completely stock including the OEM paper filter. The 01s made closer to 335-345 at the rear wheel and they were rated at 385 HP.
