Default line lock install

I am installing my line lock on my 96 lt4 and am putting it in the rear compartment next to the ABS unit and was wondering if anyone knew where to get a metric 12mm to 3/16 tube union, I cant seem to find one and dont fell like cutting the line and struggling to flare it in there. I have the m12 adapter that screws into the ABS unit. Thanks.

Just wondering, why not install it under the hood at master cylinder and be done with it?

What year model do you have Skateparkdave? what dues every one do about the seperate lines on the front system? can a person plug the fitting on one of the ports on the master cylinder and Tee off after you go through the line lock solenoid?

Mine is a 1990. On it there is just a front and a rear. If you have one of those that two for the front there is a way to do it but I'm not the one who knows. There was a thread about a month or so ago about it and it does involve a "T" but I'm not sure how it went. Try a search or maybe someone will chime in.

A line lock allows you to lock up the front brakes, while leaving the rear wheels free. At the drag strip, this allows you to warm up (read burn out) the rear tires, without killing your rear brakes.

Aeroquip sells a 12mmx1.0 to -4an adapter. Summit carries it. That's the only 12x1.0 fitting I've been able to locate.

It's galvanized aluminum though.

Default line lcok

yep me too, i just went throught the whole dorman catalog and they dont make any of them. I dont want to put it under the hood because its a tight fit and like hiding in the rear compartment out of sight. I just cut the line and flared it, no big deal, I will post some pics when I get a chance, it is a really clean and hidden install.

Good thing GM gave the 85 vette TWO front brake circuits.

What if I put it on the rear line and use it to block them open. Then I can just use the brake without any worry of frying my rear brakes.

And modulating the front brakes during burnouts can come in handy for skillful smokeshows.
