C-beam Gunk

I am finally ready to install the c-beam after changing my flywheel. Do I have to use the gm goop on it or is there something similer at the hardware store? Or do I need to put anything on it?? Also I glued the washers and nuts on the top with my trusty golf club glue----Ill see if it will hold them on till I catch the nuts with the bolts.

I had the same question, and based on the response from the forum at that time is that no one used anything when reinstalling. I didn't use anything and I haven't had any ill effects.

No need .. Although I'd clean the mating surfaces of any dirt and grime.

Try a search this is a FAQ. The most recent thread on it was about 2 weeks ago.

The statement that noone uses anything is false, as a search will reveal.

Thanks guys from what everyone has said I guess its just to seal water and road salt from the bolt cavitys . I will just use a silicone type sealer and not woory about it
