I lookin at the B&B andreally like the look of it, wish i would have seen it first... would have just went with it..oh well tis life..
Anyway what i want to ask, 2.5" or 3" should not really makemuch of a different on a stock lt1? i want loud will 3" make it that much louder? really havin tough time with what exhaust i want on this car, but this right now looks great, just really expensive so i want to be sure and know which exactly to buy.
3" duals are not necessary for even a modded LT1. 2.5" should be perfect, but its wise to consider what mods you intend to ever do to it before committing. You'd have to do some serious mods to justify the full 3" all the way though.
The B&B mufflers are rather loud though, if that is what youre after then I would probably get those, despite the pipes being a bit too big.
good to hear, i figured 2.5" was plently for what i intend, and i really want some sound out of the exhaust and i like the look of b&b a lot, thanks for the input

The reputation for B&B was for "loud", but B&B changed the design sometime in the last couple of years (or so they say). I have 3" B&B's that I installed on my LT4 CE last year and it isn't all that loud, just deep sounding (some resonance around 2k rpm). I haven't dyno'd since putting them on, so I don't know what the effect is. There were Flowmasters (rotted out) on before. SOTP says that its running about the same.
