Default Help Mr Mojo! Electrical Bug after replacing Heater Core?

I replaced my heater core so of course I had to disconnect a lot of wiring under the dash. After replacing it and hooking all the wires back up...I want to test it out before I put everything back together. When I hook the battery up, I get a single door chime and a constant break lite...security...door ajar...and check gauges light. With an attemp to crank I get an additional "PARK" light with of course no crank. Does the dash and console have to be put back together completely or did I mess some wiring up? I would hate to put it all back together and get the same thing. Thanks in advance.

make sure everything is connected correctly. If you have missed a couple of relays, or what not, that would be the problem.

Also, check to be sure the CCM is connected correctly.

Thanks...that is my next step. I'm going to get back under the dash this evening and check it out. I just need to remember that I can take my time since it is no longer my daily driver. There is just something about having something not working that causes me to lose sleep.

the neutral safety switch is part of the shifter handle... at least it is on the 87s...
