The air temp that blows in to the copue doesnt change with the temp settings, its all the same from minium ( 15c ) to almost max ( 29 c ). BUT if i set the temp to MAX (32c) it will blow hot air. Its like having a on off switch for the climat control. strange.
Any ides?
I got no error codes from the system.. SHouldent the heat rise and fall due to the settings in the acc? As ihave it now I onloy get max heat or nothing at all..:/
how should the auto climat control supposed to work?
If I use the auto mode and set the temp to 25c, and its 22 outside, is the system going to blow maxmium hot air untill it reach 25c, or does it blow mild warm air.
I have a 1991 Corvette too and this happend to it too, it was allwas on the same temp and I was not able to change it and it came out of defoge all the time too.
I would look in to changing the A/C programmer it is under your dash on the driver side, maybe you can even fix it, there was something on here that told you what to change to fix them but I put in a new one since it was at the dealers.
That is what I had to change to get mine fixed.
Hope this helps
Jay
PS I see you are from Sweeden that is cool, I have a friend that lives in Sweeden, Im from Iceland but just moved to the States a year ago.
who whas it on the forum that hade a fix on it?
I have only 2 modes on mine now, cold or maxium hot.. :/
Whas the new unit expensive?
And tell me more where to find the unit..
This is a typical programmer failure. Take a look at the two big resistors. There is probably a cold solder joint there. Reflow the solder w/ an iron. These resistors are connected to the stepper motor that is the hot/cold mix door.
The two big resistors you talk about, are they in the programmer unit , the t"thnig" i set my temps with. Or are they in a nother device somwehere else?
