Hey all, I got my engine together and back in the car and have figured out where all those little brackets and clips go except for one. My tac wire is a beige wire coming out of the engine harness, then runs into a black plastic cylinder thing which resembles a suppressor (I assume it's because of the digi dash) then runs up to the distributor. Question is, the bracket around the black thing - where does it bolt up? I think an intake bolt but not sure which one. There is a lot of wire. I can't find it in any of the pictures in section 6d or in component views in the service manual. Any help from an l98 owner with their car nearby would be much appreciated. Thanks
Re: where does the tac wire bracket mount on an l98? (my1stvette)
On my 85, there is a grounding post on the driver side head just below the joint where the head and valve cover match up. This would be just below and inside of where wiper motor mounts to the firewall. This grounding stud is where the tach filter bracket mounts. Remove the nut, remove the ground wires put the bracket on and reinstall the ground wires and the retaining nut.

Thanks guys. In my pictures it shows those 2 grounds to that stud but on my car, those grounds stay in the harness and run down to the battery ground above the oil filter adapter. I bolted it up where you both mentioned though. It's coming along now but I'd sure like to know how to tighten the last bolt on the right bank with my hooker headers. Always something!!
