I've been seeing high volume fuel pumps on the market, but I haven't seen them mentioned much around hear. Is this an important mod in order for a heads/cam LT1 with LT's to see maximum power? If so, would higher flowing injectors also be required?
I would add a high-flow fuelpump on any mildly modified car.
Heck when I put it on my stock '85 years ago, I felt a difference right away. (And the old one was not showing any problems, just upgraded in leu of new planned mods)..

It is a very unimportant modification and a waste of money. Unless you already NEED a pump, it is nothing more than throwing money at a problem that doesn't exist. Check your fuel pressure at the point of highest demand. If the pressure doesn't drop, what could you possible expect from a higher volume pump?
When in doubt, apply some common sense. For starters... 'spain to me how a volume capacity greater than you can utilize, becomes an advantage or increases performance?
i added a 255Lph high vol. fuel pump out of pure fear.
i replaced my stock unit with an unnecessary HV one and paid a few dollars more in the process (about $20). i'm almost certain its meaningless, as CFI-EFI says, but i got some other fuel pump-related items in a kit that made it a 1-1 tradeoff in cost.
the rubber meets the road right at the fuel pressure regulator. in a 450chp
or less car, you probably don't need a wacked-up 255Lph unit. the FP regulator controls the final pressure, where it matters.
p.s. my next 400chp vette gets 1 5/8" headers

I only wish you and a large portion of this forum could have heard me laughing, out loud, all alone, when I read that line. I scared the stuffings out of the dog. You have absolutely made my day. THANK YOU!

RACE ON!!!
I'm not really looking for an advantage or an increase in performance from a fuel pump. I am in the midst of adding some real hp increasing mods, and I just want to be sure the fuel pump will not be a weak link, or a limiting factor. If the stock pump is okay to 450chp, then I'll be fine. Thanks for the input
If you realy want to spend the money Warlboro pump 20000169 should be enough fuel for a while,255 LPM Leaders per minute.I think I paid $115.00.Plug and play unit .I hope this answers your ??????
