exhaust leak

What can I spray into the intake or pour into the gas to make the car smoke to find an exhaust leak. I think a ticking noise could either be the exhaust leak at the headers or a valve... I want to see if it is a leak before I decide toreplace the gaskets.

I get a slight ticking sound from my fuel injectors. This is normal (I think). You might try using a couple of feet of vinyl tubing as a stethoscope to pin point the source.

Buy some seafoam from the local auto store. If that doesn't make enough smoke for you to see a leak, I don't know what will.
