Default Wheel bearing info needed

I have a couple of friends that need rear wheel bearings for an 85. Any input as to what is the best and worst that are out there. Price vs warrantee? I am not looking for cheap, just proven parts with a decent warrantee. I seem to remember hearing alot of bad about the pep boys stuff.

What bad news have you heard about the pep boys stuff? I've heard nothing but good news.

Factory GM = NDH
Pep Boys = SKF-Chicago Rawhide w/lifetime warranty
wheelbearingsinc.com = SKF-ChicagoRawhide (*I think*)
Ac Delco = various

Not much. My neighbor bought a pair for his 89 and they went bad a year later. I did not put all of my faith in this input though.

Pep Boys sells the Chicago Rawhide bearings, which I have been lead to believe are the OEM AC Delco bearings

I installed them on all four corners over the past two years and very happy

I think it's likely that Delco boxes both them and NDH, and perhaps other brands (Timken?)

All those brands trade inventory to some extent, some of those SKF boxes probably have NDHs in em.

AC Delco mostly just sells expensive boxes. And I bet they don't make those either.
