Ok, after hooking up all of the long block wires, except for the coolant sensor, I am pretty sure that it has gone missing, or the replacement I got has a different connector than stock.
I threw the stock one away, but not before I made sure the thread was the same and the connector was similar, which at the time(a while ago) I thought it was identical.
Can someone with a late '86 or '87 please look at their right head and tell me what kind of connector the coolant temp sensor has on it. I have one long wire with the wrong connector coming off of the starter harness that I have no idea where it goes, but I don't think it is how the connector was on the stock temp sensor.
Re: 1987 Coolant sensor wiring, I lost it. (NoWorries)
It is a single wire. On my 87 the connector looks brown and does appear to come up from below the exhaust maniford so it may be in with the group of wires that goes to the starter.
Re: 1987 Coolant sensor wiring, I lost it. (NoWorries)
I just hooked up all my engine harness connectors on my late 86 2 nights ago. The temp sensor between #6 and #8 was a spade connector (1 wire) also with that breakout of the harness was the knock sensor connector, and 3 starter wires). On the left head between 1 and 3 was a button type connector for that temp sensor. Hope that helps.
