Default portting intake base. Worth It?

I've portted the l98 heads, plenum and tubes somewhat, however I am told that portting the stock intake base is not worth it. I can see areas that look like I could improve it, but I am told on these bases its of no help. Any opinions?

Default Porting Stock Parts

Part of the answer is what do you want to accomplish or end up with. For a real increase. Get a Accel Manifold and the SLP runners. Keep your plenum and maybe port to the SLP runners. You will see a real good increase. This will increase your power at higher rpm's and does not hurt the Torque to bad, very little.
Porting stock manifold and runners very little affwct for the work, good experience. Also look at your throtle body and MAF when you get evrything just right She's a beast.

This is what I did but also stroked mine. I am pushing 450 HP with all the changes.

Its pointless to port everything else and not match the base, since its basically the most restrictive part of the intake.

Either port it or buy a better base, because all of them will outflow the stock one, even if you do port it.

I think he has some dyno results showing porting of the base.
