How recognize that valve body for TH 700 is for corvette not for camaro or suburban?
My valve body id dying. It has scratches at valves. I must replace it. There is a lot valve bodes in good condition for TH 700. How exactly be sure that valve body is for corvette. For example I found valve body in good condition that has print in it : “C275”, in another place: “4256”, in another place “GM3”, and “D”. Is that numbers meaning something?
If somebody can help meit will be great help for me.
Thanks, Jerry, Poland
The only obvious thing that would give it away is the throttle valve shift sleeve.
Then again, you have to have the two sleeves side by side to tell a difference. The non-corvette model exposes the downshift passage sooner in throttle position, and the corvette throttle valve has the number 93 stamped on the end ( but the camaro could have the same valve in it ).
Other than the TV shift sleeve/valve differences, they are pretty much close enough to the same to not make a difference. Of course, putting the corvette tv sleeve/valve in the non-corvette trans will make it act like the corvette trans. So, if it works, use it
