I live in Pa and have a 1993 6speed with a Procharger. I have headers, high flow cats, and borla exhaust. I also have an air foil on the intake side. I have an msd 6a box and a set of their wires and a blaster coil. I currently have stock injectors and a stock chip. The car runs well but I think the injectors are locking up since the pressure gets close to 90psi at times. I would like recommendations on what brand/size of injectors would be a good replacement. I would also like to add a 52mm throttle body. Lastly does anybody know if there is a good place in Pa to get a dyno tune and custom chip.
My son, Lcvette just finished putting a Procharger on my 95. We got some great information from Greg of Blowerworks out of NJ. Check out Greg's posts and also Lcvette's post here. You definitely need larger injecters and a stronger fuel pump. We are using 42 lb injecters and
had to get the fuel mix down to 11.5-1 before all knock retard was eliminated. Lcvette posted the graph of our final dyno run here.
What model of the procharger are you using?.. is it intercooled? Check with Greg, he has a unique Alcohol/water cooling system for it. We plan to incorporate that into our system in the very near future.
I have the p1-sc kit with the 2-core intercooler. It also came with the in-line fuel pump and the FMU. The problems seems to be when you are getting up about 4500 rpm. At that point it will cut out every once in a blue moon. When it does it the fuel pressure is close to 90 so that is what leads me to believe that it is locking up the injectors. I don't want to risk damaging anything so I figured I would ask some of you guys that have some experience with this.
