Info on the L98
hi i just bought a 89 vette motor for my 85 firebird and i would like to know all the basic information about the engine,cam duration,heades, most of the internal parts, what i plan to do is put a cam in it and put some roller rocker arms in it, i live in california so i have to keep it smog legal, for the headers and exahaust i already have that ready, thankyou.

I think your 1989 has pre cats just like my 1988. Long tubes or shorties will not pass the bi-annual visual because the pre cats are gone even though the exaust should pass the sniff without them. There are no shortys or long tubes with a Ca EO# for our pre-cat-years. :o
