Default C4 HVAC blower motor differences

I'm thinking of replacing the blower motor in my '70 with one from a C4 since I heard they work much better. However, I noticed at corvettecentral.com that there are two different ones, '84-'85 and '86-'96. Which one do I want for maximum airflow? I've only heard of C3 people using blowers from the '86-'96 range, so I guess that's what I want. But there's one for sale in town from an '85...any ideas? Thanks!

Good Trivial Pursuit question - To me, electric motors are electric motors and if there was any difference between the Years it would be in terms of load, not rotational speed. Volume would be a function of the squirrel cage and shape (size) of the airbox. Assuming newer means less of a load, I'd buy the most recent design, but to make sure it's getting all the volts it needs, increase the gage of the wire and solder the connections.
