While you are in working on the mode, I STRONGLY suggest changing the O2 sensor. If you were running rich due to the converter (I am sure you were), I can garauntee you O2 sensor is carboned up as well.

Hey KLLRVET....
Did you switch to an Automatic from a Six Speed? I remember your post about the convertor question. I asked some sources that constantly race the very question...How to launch. I was told to FLASH IT...i.e. holding the car still with the brake,and lightly tap the gas..then PUNCH IT.
Just wondering if you went from a six speed to an auto???.??
