I had built a simple ALDL interface over the summer according to the following:
It worked fine then, I just didn't label my wires like I should and can't seem to get things right. Wire F is 12+ source. It goes to pin 16 right? Then ground goes to pin 4 or 5??? Pin 4 is chassis ground and pin 5 is signal ground. And finally G, the data line goes where. I thought pin 9, Serial Data?? Any ideas. Data master is giving me the screen...it communicated through the ALDL but it might be an unsupported pcm.
Like I said, it worked a couple of months ago. So I think it is my pinout. Any ideas.
Well, maybe it is just resistance that has built up in the cable I used. I only used telephone cale. Suer thin solid wire. I will try making a new one and see if that works. Thanks for your input and links!!
I still can't get it to work. Datamaster gives me the error #2, unexpected data from pcm may be a unsupported version. And tunercats gives me an unexpected data error also. Any thoughts???
