After a long winter of my mods, TPIS - AFR's, ZZ9 cam, 1.6 Comp Cam RR's, 3.54's, Alvin tune, EM headers and Magnaflow bullet cats she sure goes. I got on it a 40 and she smoked the tires and went sideways it was well worth all the cold nights in the garage. I hope it goes down the strip straight. Only 2 issues, it surges a little a 40 mph and I have a leaky valve cover gasket. Could the surge be the cam ?????????

I would not expect the cam to be cause of 40 mph surge. Let's

from those more knowledgeable than myself (meaning just about anyone).

I don't know what makes your car surge either but a bunch of us are going to Grand Bend one weekend near the end of April.
I'd like to see what that car can do, you should come with us.
I'm in the Midland area, there is another guy from Barrie and more.

What rpm does it surge? If it's around 1600-1800 rpms, could be cam surge. Or could be running lean in that rpm range.

hmm, I have an l-98 ZZ9, AFR 190's, super ram, 1.6 rockers, 6 speed, and 3.33's

I cant say I have felt any surging except when I had a header leak. but it would do it when cold, or trying to keep speed uphill in 6th.

I am just a little south of Barrie so let me know when you are going to Grand Bend because I want to know what she will run. I had a best of 13.7 last year. Why don't you post your date in the Canadian section eh. I will torque the valve covers to factory specs and also re-torque the headers today.

I think it will either be the 22nd or 29th.

i will add you to the list, i ran 13.7 last year as well with my L-98, what mods did you have to run 13.7? u should be in the 12's foresure with those nasty gears.
