Captain's Call Exhaust
I have a 96 LT4 and would really like to get some muffler eliminators. Problem is my wife does not want it any louder than it is now. What about something like a Captain's Call exhaust system common on performance boats. Would I be able to keep get a strait pipe in while keeping the stock mufflers? I could have a cast Y fitting (Mr. Gasket makes one) that would have a valve in it. I realize that since I have a true dual I would need two of everrything. This way, when I want the 'eliminators' I would have the valve pulled over one way, and, when I wanted it quiet, the valve would be pulled over the other way. What do you guys think?

I've heard of people going the valve way. Some guy attached a lever under the dash that was hooked up to a cable which pulled a valve back and fourth like that. Sounds like a sweet idea to me. He didn't even have to get out of the car to do it.. just flipped the lever when ever he wanted.

Polar....try Power Effect exhaust, they are not remote but all you have to do is turn a **** at each muffler, it goes from straight pipe when opened to through the mufflers closed. Call them direct, they will answer any and all questions you may have plus give you a great price !! And the sound on the LT-4 is awesome :yesnod:
