We really need more info to help you! Any recent changes made to the engine? What have you checked thus far? Many things can cause your type of problem.

Car has no modifications.. lots of miles.. but runs strong .. auto trans...has always had a slight off idle hesitation since i got the car.. now once it gets warm it surges almost as if it wants to shut off... checked all the plugs .. and spark is there .. cant find a vacuum leak ... anyother ideas.. what would cause the rough idle at operating temp .. and the minor hesitation off idle

There are tons of C4 with the code 32 (EGR) WITHOUT your idle/surging problems you described.
How you checked for intake leaks??
Are you sure that tha car has a stock cam?

car is stock .. bought from my fiance's dad ..soon to be father in law ..so i trust him .. i have drove it for about 2 months with no problems .... but it has always had a slight off idle hesitation .. and now its getting worse .. once its warm sometimes it sounds like it wants to die .. Father in law says he recently replaced the injectors and o2 sensor...

It could also be your idle air valve, or your TPS is malfunctioning, and it's looking for the idle.

For the idle, a good throttle cleaning might be in order including the IAC if it hasn't been done recently.

Is the SES light on with the code 32? If not it might have been out of range for a moment. Reset the ECM and see if it comes back.

Open up your FSM (Factory Service Manual) to the trouble shooting chart for a code 32, and follow it step by step, to fix it as quickly and efficiently, as possible and without "throwing parts (money) at the problem".

RACE ON!!!

Reset the ecm .. now it seems to have gone away .. sounds good drove for maybe 20 miles... still has a slight missfire at idle .. hardly noticable.. but for a 147K ill be happy if it stays like this till i rebuild it ... give it a couple more days and see if my problems come back .. thanks for all the help

Default 91 Idle

I had similar problem. My 91 started to suddenly have a rough idle then when you put it in gear it would die. Suddenly the rpms started to flucuate and where you normally see your avg mpg on the left of your mph indication sys code started flashing and the service engine soon alarm came up in the message center . To make a long story short the computer shorted out and burn't the pins in the distrubitor cap and rotor button and also burn't up two plug wires !!!!! After replacing these the Vette runs smoother than ever and the ever so slight miss is gone and my MPG is back to normal !!!!
