Yeah, I know really hard to find a set. Out of curiosity though, does anyone know if they had an CARB E.O. number? With the exception of the Superram, nothing for the L98 seems to have an E.O. number.
Best thing to do is call LPE and find out for yourself..
I'd think they do though as they include the AIR system provisions and stuff originally, unless specifically they were removed per the order.

There's only one carb number for L98s that isn't explicitly stated as a shorty on the EO sheet.
Anyways, here's my carb legal headers...
I just need to weld the smog trees to them, paint them an ugly bare stainless red, cram heat shields on them, weld on a fake shorty flange, and weld a shell over the primaries below.

Pretty much any long tube header will not have a Carb EO# becuase they are going to remove the precats (the precats are too close to the manifolds) Touch the cats and precats is big no no in their eyes

Not on an '85 though.. No precats on '85s only one in the middle of the exhaust.

I like the way you think. I've also thought of things like that should such BS ever become a concern where I live. Headers are such a glaring example of the futility of clueless bureaucrats making decisions that effect us. Properly done with cats and emissions hook-ups, headers can only improve the overall efficiency of any engine, including emmisions and mileage, to the benefit of all of us and the enviromental extremists' god, Mother Earth.
