Default watching your engine in total darkness

What's normal as far as faint electrical discharge seen during idle? Trying to see if anything's arcing from the opti in my 94 (not that you can even see the opti it's so far under there).

I can see 2 or 3 faint traces of blue around the plug wires on each side (not necessarily confined to the boot area), as well as faint blue on each side of the coil. FWIW, new coil and plug wires carefully routed to avoid touching metal as much as possible.

Sounds like "corona" discharge. Typical of any high voltage conductor. Usually looks like light blue fog; not a cause for concern. An actual HV leak or short would be very bright and confined, jagged type arc usually accompanied by audible snapping sound.
