Default Where is the ESC module located

1984 CFI Vette. I found that the wire from the knock sensor has been cut. So I guessed, no problem, I have a manual. After reading for approx an hour, I think I pretty well know how the knock detector and system works, but I could NOT find where the ESC module is located. Must have missed it I guess.
Please help me out.

I'm not sure on an 84, but on my 87 the esc module is located on the lower firewall on the passenger side just below the hood latch. It a square looking box with an electrical connection on the front.

Hope this helps

Page 6E2-90, figure 99, shows the ESC module mounted on the outside of the evaporator blower housing. There is another illustration on page 6E2-91.

Yep, found it. I was looking at the 6E2-46 section and in 6D, the engine wire haness drawings.
Thanks a lot

With the help of CFI I found it. Thanks for the info anyway, there seem a lot of differences between 84 and newer models

I believe the '84 and the '87 are in the same location. I think the description cmontel727 gave, and mine, are for the same place.
