Where is the ESC module located

Where is the ESC module located
1984 CFI Vette. I found that the wire from the knock sensor has been cut. So I guessed, no problem, I have a manual. After reading for approx an hour, I think I pretty well know how the knock detector and system works, but I could NOT find where the ESC module is located. 
Must have missed it I guess.
Please help me out.

I'm not sure on an 84, but on my 87 the esc module is located on the lower firewall on the passenger side just below the hood latch. It a square looking box with an electrical connection on the front.
