im droping a L98 into my 85 firebird and i want to know how much it will be making with the mods i am going to put into it.The L98 came out of a Vette(thats why i am here)there will be a zz4 cam going into it and 1.5 roller rockers, the heads were just redone(not polished) engine has about 70k on it, im putting shorty tublular headers on it, with a 3inch exhaust all the way to the back. also im changing it to carbed as well what kind of power will i be making for this engine. thanks.

3" single?

I hope you don't have smog testing in your area... that thing will so fail.

considering the L98 topped at 250hp, those mods, depending on the carb/intake, if it's an aluminum head L98 or iron, ect.

I would guess about 325...

I would consider 1.6:1 rollers, tho.

You can get a good idea by looking at the ZZ4 crate motor numbers. I believe they advertise around 350 at the crank with a 4 bbl carb and HEI ignition. I had one in my 89 vette and it put down 260 at the wheels with 120,000 miles. The heads were ported with bigger valves but that was with a modded TPI intake manifold.
