When I start my 1988 corvette in the morning it is rough idling, then after a few seconds it idles up fine and of course after it reaches the right temp it idles down fine. ther are no other problems or lights or codes .
It only does it when i first start up in the morning............. I have been reading the helms book i recently bought and i am not to sure if it could be the cold start valve or the TPS
Take a look at your IAC chart, you'll notice one passage is for the cold start valve.Probably wouldn't hurt to pull the IAC, clean it with carb cleaner using a tooth brush, and try to spray some into the passages,
good luck on that part though.Don't know whether that will cure your problem, but it sure won't hurt it.
The CSV has a bi-metal heating switch that times out after 8 seconds. You can try this. Use a test light and test the CSV harness connetor when the car is first started within 8 seconds. If no light it is probably the CSV switch. The ecm does not control this injector. If you have the helms manual you can follow the troubleshooting diagram. You can also check the TPS and it should be at .54v closed throttle and 4.0v WOT. The numbers can be higher or lower and not throw a code. Follow the manual for this also.
