On another car, I replaced the stock rotors with Brembo solids (no slots or holes) and they seem to last like iron. It's already been 18 mos. ago so prices have changed most likely. I'd do a search to see who's got the best prices.
If I were to do it again, just for laughs I might go with the same rotor, but slotted to see how fast my pads wear away.
I don't know how many others here have them but I run Stillen rotors on mine...I've had them for almost four years now and am very pleased...they fell in the mid price range when I got them...IIRC somehwere around $400 or so...btw, the company is in California...oh yeah, they are drilled but not slotted..no cracks at all...
NAPA is the best OEM. Well in my opinion they are. They are very durable and work well on my car. Seems better than stock to me. I buy everything from NAPA and it does not cost a fortune to get it. There braking equipment stops 20 ft shorter than original
Not looking for a C5 upgrade or anything. Just something that will work with stock calipers and maybe is a little lighter than stock.
Also no looking to spend a fortune on them either.
Where and what is the best deal .....
Thanks.
I'm waiting on my baer up grade kit to come in, I had to replace my front calipers with oem rebuilds and new rotors and pads from Car Quest (for now). They only have about 200 miles on them, make me an offer Jesse, my new brake kit should be in, in about a week. Just thought I would let you know if your looking for a good replacement.

For quality stock replacements, Superior Chevy should be as cheap as anyone, even name brand aftermarket replacements. My C5 rotors that I use on the front were dirt cheap from them. C4 rotors run a bit more for some reason.
I'd think you would be looking into a drag racing setup with superlight rotors to help put into the 9s... Are they a cost effective mod at the level you are at?

Yeah the thought of lighter is inviting, but the cost of them is a bit high for even me. Aerospace components makes a set of lightweight brakes for our cars now, about $699.
nitroussam I believe got a set, maybe I will touch base with him and see what he thinks.
Yeah I've been meaning to call those guys, the post said it was over 3/15 but I'm wondering if they'll keep the deal going
it was a STEAL for what they were offering
EDIT - just called them, Jennifer who answered (very nice) said the deal is still going on - said they are behind on shipping anywhere from 20-25 days, I'm gonna call em' next week to see if they are caught up any
There is a post around here from the vendor themselves with some VERY nice pics - they are drilled and slotted though I think you can get either/or
Went to NAPA today and ordered a set. For the price, and what I need them for they should be as good as anything. Just do some street driving and some "top end dumps" every now and again.
THey have a two year warranty which the guy said if they warp, wear out, crack anything - just bring them back in for new ones.
