Default Clutch Hose problems??

Put new clutch master cylinder and slave on car last year. About thousand miles on car since. This spring added fluid, using the Vavoline synthetic brake fluid. Well it continued to leak and I noticed that fluid had black particles in it. Tore it apart last nite. DRM slave was really leaking! Anyway I'm guessing that 89-90 style hose is deteriorated after 17 years? I noticed that DRM sent the newer style slave cylinder. Are any of you guys using the new braided lines on the 89-90 cars?? I read the other threads on this looks like a lot of people having problems. Thanks Ike

Take the old hose to a brake shop or a shop that makes hydraulic hoses and they should be able to make a brand new hose for you at a cost cheaper than a stock hose assembly.

during my battle with the clutch master and slave I put on a brand new hose. the fluid turned blake pretty quickly. The dust from the clutch disk still works it way inside the boot and cylinder on the slave.

you probably just have a leaky slave and the hose is ok.
