Default Shock advice wanted

Well here's some background, as you can see in my avatar my '77 is strickly autocross/track car. Now I'm not ready to get the '77 back to the tracks (college) but my '85 needs shocks so I figure get a somewhat performance version on the c4 I'm clueless. My c3 has Koni adjustables and I'm partial to them ...can't locate them for the c4. So what do you suggest? Please keep in mind college student and Bilstien's would buy my books for 3 classes. Are there any adjustables out there?
Thanks
Laurie

If you are on a budget lots of people swear by the KYB's. I don't believe they are adjustable but the price is right. I think they run around $35 each - about half the Bilsteins. Many of the vendors sell them including Summit, and I believe Mid America and a bunch of others.

If you are on a budget Summit Racing sells the KYB for $29.00 ea. They are a little harsh at times but overall a pretty good shock for the money.

I've come to find a set of KYB's gas adjustable for 50. I'll have to check out Summit.

I have a combination on my 1996. KYB's on the front and Bilsteins on the rear. For me, its a great combination. Got my KYB's from Summit Racing for $29.00 each plus a small shipping charge.
