At best, you'll gain a little extra oil for your seals and compressor, but I haven't noticed any significantly (read MEASURABLE) lower vent temps in my vehicle.
NO, they don't mix. Plus, it is really not good idea to just add freon to ac system without gauges to be sure pressures are to spec. Too little freon means poor cooling, too much means poor cooling, plus possible system damage from excessive hi side pressure.
