Default Electrical connector by water pump. Please, please help!!!

I have just spent 11 hours changing the water pump on my '96 LT1. I find I have an electrical connector with no place to connect it. The wire comes from under the pump on the left side, is at least 12" long, black, single wire, with a connector having a 90 degree black rubber boot. All other connectors are accounted for. If this has to connect to the opti thing and the pump has to come off I think I just might cry. Can anyone tell me where this wire goes?

Im gonna go way way way out on a limb here and say maybe its your pcv valve.... If so its way out of place, but it sorta is described that way. If so it connects to either the driver side or passenger side valve cover and runs through I believe the throttle body or something... Probably not but I figured Id through that out there.

if it looks like a spark plug type wire and boot on the end, it goes from the opti to your coil. on my '94 it connects to the opti on the top right and runs over top of the water pump and over to the coil on the left.. that is if you're looking at the front of the engine.. left is really right, or passenger side..

Thanks, guys. After sending the post, I went out to look some more, and finally found it. You were right, Mikey, it does go to the coil but it was a stretch and I think it fit best going across the front of the pump. I am tired and ready for bed!

good, glad ya figured it out if you get bored, try running it over instead of under.. that's how the factory does it and it fits pretty good with no slack or tension.
