This is my frist post in the C4 Section, now that I have added a '94 Vette to the family, I have found that I may need to come here and see if I could find some help with keeping this thing up.
I have notice that the left front wheel seems to be getting hot, has anyone had this problem, and could you let me in on the fix. I have not checked to see if the brake is tight, or it could be the wheel bearing, any Ideas
Thanks in advance, Jeff
You guessed it Jeff. It's got to be one of the two. Pull the wheel and carefully pry the brake pads back into the calipers a little and see if the rotor turns easily. Bad or dry bearings might sound crunchy. It's probably the caliper.
My '92 had a similar problem. After driving the car a little bit, both front wheels would get too hot to touch. When it did that, I could feel the resistance when I drove it. It was like the front brakes were being applied. My car is a 6 speed, and it wouldn't roll in neutral. It turned out to be the brake master cylinder. They have a few small valves, and one must have been plugged up. I had the master cylinder replaced, and that solved the problem.

Re: Left front wheel getting hot ? (BlackbirdZ07)
You might also check for the inside of the brake hose lining to have come loose and act like a flapper valve preventing the pressure to equa;ize in the line and keeping the brake slightly engaged at all times.
Does it pull to the right even slightly when you apply the brakes?
Thanks for the response Guys,
I put this thing on the jack and the tire seems to turn pretty freely, I have only had the car for a few days, I drove it on a good smooth road and it seems to pull a little to the left, I think I may take it by the front end shop and have it checked out!
Thanks again, Jeff
What I had on my 78 was a brake line collapsing intermittently and would heat the wheel were you couldn't touch it changes both lines just to be safe and it solved the problem
