Whats with the air foil flow booster for sale at mid america. Do they work? I looked at my 1990 L98 tb and it does have sort of a blunt area in the middle of the bores. Why couldnt you touch that up with a dremel tool to smooth it out--Anyone ever try it?
I've nver tested one on a dyno, nor have heard anybody else talk about it. I own a copy of "Insider Hints" which was written by TPIS/Myron Cottrell and they claim it's worth something. I think TPIS sells thiers for about $60, pretty cheap and a "could help, can't hurt" type of situation. I'm not that handy with a dremel tool and a new throttle body will cost more than $60

FWIW, Their "claim" is "11.6 hp and 36 cfm...on a flow bench and dyno"........TPIS also states a gain of 6.4 hp and 6.2 ft.pds tq. by using +4 bosch plugs.....you decide

It works well at transferring money from your wallet to theirs. $60.00 for a $5.00 blob of pot metal...Hellava deal. Now if it were CNC machined billet, aluminum, or better yet titanium, it work much better.
Ok I get the hint. I just took off the TB for a good cleaning and was waiting for gm to get my gasket(to much time on my hands I guess) Thanks again guys. PS I know that my tps is not ajustable but it read .65 so I loosened it and turned it and got it down to .568 not purfect but its all it will go,I think its withen specks though.

Several years ago, TV's Horsepower Garage did a piece about LT1 (on an Impala SS) bolt-ons. They did before and after dyno runs on each item.
One of these items was the airfoil. The conclusion was that it did not affect the power output one way or the other. I watched that show and applauded them for being honest enough to say so on the show.
