Ok, first thing this morning, right as I pull out of the garage, the service engine soon & service asr lights came on.
I drove around the block and noted that the security light was also flashing and the MPH gauge stayed on "0"
After a few minutes of idoling, the lights went off and I headed to work.
Of course about half way to work, the lights came back on, and right around 3K RPMS the car acts like its not getting any gas. As soon as I let off it drives fine. I babied it the rest of the way to work never getting over 3k rpms and made it luckily
What do these symptons sound like to you all?

Re: Service ASR.........Need Help please (PotatoeHead)
Get a paper clip and jump the A to G terminals of the ALDL and turn the key on with out starting the engine and watch the speedo codes will come up there 1.1 CCM, 4.1 ECM, 9.1 ABS,ASR and let us know what you find.

Re: Service ASR.........Need Help please (PotatoeHead)
Ok, I was looking at http://members.tripod.com/theviperpit/vette/ecm.html
and now I know what you're talking about, however the above page says to short A & B together. Which one is it really? I don't wanna fry something by mistake :chevy
Re: Service ASR.........Need Help please (PotatoeHead)
A to B will just flash the "Check Engine" light to give you ECM codes but A to G will activate the CCM on board diagnostic and give you all the codes and once you have learned how to use it you will be able to clear codes also pluse other things.

P.S. I carry a A,B and A,H and a A,G key with me all the time you just never know when it may come in handy.
Re: Service ASR.........Need Help please (PotatoeHead)
Say PotatoeHead,
I am going through the same thing with my 92 corvette. The ASR light came on and my ride has the same symptoms as yours. Could you please shoot me a email when you have fixed the beast. I have been trying to repair it on my own and haven't had any luck. About to put it in the shop, but I will waite to hear from you.
Re: Service ASR.........Need Help please (LT1CFORCE92)
I have a 93, and this is a TSB about the Throttle position sensor being a problem. I would disconnect the throttle position sensor, or the battery and clear the code, if you have one. Mine does this every once in a while, and at 117,000 miles, it stillis not an abs/asr problem, just a glitch in mine. Hope this helps, Steve
Re: Service ASR.........Need Help please (David-F)
Finally got a chance to check the codes and heres what I got

and then it stops
Anyone have a freaking clue what this means????
Re: Service ASR.........Happened to me once briefly
My Service ASR light came on briefly right after I started it, and stayed on for a little while. I shut the engine off with the car moving, and started it again with the car moving and it stayed off.
The ASR works like a charm and does its thing properly.\
