Had a similar problem like that. Engine would cut out and jerk suddenly or even stall at mid throttle. Threw no codes. 3 days later, I found out it was water in the gas tank. Iso Heat water remover and a new fuel filter were the solutions to the problem.

The system does a checkup on startup, every once in a while mine would stick open on startup (meaning once every few months).
It always threw a 32 on startup in that case.
Occasionally while sitting in traffic it would do the same thing, when the engine was hot. Indicating that something was wrong with my EGR sticking open intermittently when EGR conditions were met. (also every few months, not everyday by any means)
But i deleted the whole thing.

Well, here's one for ya, my vette has not been throwing any codes, runs and pulls strong, maybe a little hickup-but NO CODES. Today I finally got the scanner up and running......guess what??? I have a code 34..MAF sensor low, I can deal with that with my FSM, but what surprises me is I had absolutely NO CODES SHOWING-i.e. NO FLASHING.
