Hi. I'm in the middle of saving for my first Corvette and thought I'd see if anybody could help with a new idea I have for a custom interior. I test-drove a 1988 'Vette today and had a blast (though I won't buy it--I really want a stick shift and this one was an automatic), and while I can live with the digital dashboard, I really like the look of traditional gauges (the needles are cool). I could get a C3, but the early C4 body style is my favorite.
Is it possible to modify the C4 dash to resemble something like the C3 dash? I'd love something simple and basic rather than high-tech. From what I was able to find using the search function, some sophisticated interior mods have been made to other Corvettes (C3 in particular) but I wasn't able to find an answer to my particular question. My thought is that all the digital gear might prohibit this sort of modification, am I wrong?
Thank you for your input. I've been lurking a while and enjoy the forum.

I've yet to see an analog dash that didn't look like a chunk of plywood with a bunch of autometers stuck in it. If you're gonna spend that much money, put some imagination into it too.

Well standby. There's a couple here locally in the works that might change that view
