Any GM gauge is untrustworthy.
It could mean that the connector to the oil pressure sender is bad, or that the sender is going out. Thats what it is in my case.

vader, was that you that mentioned getting high pressure readings from a bad harness? What was your psi when off?
Because I'm at about 6-7 psi off, 75-80 psi running. I'd think if the harness was a problem, it'd add about the same psi whether running or off. It's gotta be a linear transducer.
