what do you want/need? lt1 4 bolt block or l98 or what? or are you just building a carbed 350 or something..
used lt1 blocks seem to fetch $600 pretty easy, but i'm sure that price could go up or down depending where you look..
Re: How much for a good 4 bolt main block? (mikey)
A normal LT1 block should be around 350 bucks (here in Texas anyway). 4 bolt's were in the vette's, caprice's, and crate motors.
A 2 bolt block with splayed maincaps is stronger and better up to a 4.06 bore. If you are going to try and get fancy with it (bore relocation, etc) it has been suggested that then a 4 bolt block is a better choice (4.09 bore, etc.) though I wouldn't really recommend that.
Email 4deatr, he has one I believe, a whole engine for that matter. He is here in the C4 parts for sail section. Email and see what he can do for you. Steve
