I'm sure there's a way to bench test one but thats beyond me.
One sure fire way I know is to borrow a known good one and throw it in and see if all is well. If this corrects what ever troubles your having then I'd call that a successful test.
Got any near by friends with a Vette with the same ECM? Ask'em to hook you up for the test.
By the way, you may want to ask this over in scan and tune.

Seems like my good ole' spare has been of useful service so far. I'm afraid I'm gonna have to torture this former ECM relentlessly. Still dunno if its really the cause of all the intermittent bugs I've been having lately. Get the blue wrench and watch this thing burn baby burn!!!
