Default operating Temp.

Hi all, can someone give me the perameters concerning temp. ranges on an LT-1? I have a '96 auto that I just got and I think it is running hot. I know with the Aluminum heads, this could cause problems so I'm concerned. What is the normal temp during city driving and the max. That it should ever reach? Also, the car has 100k on it so the dex cool prob. needs changing. To properly flush this system should I take it to a vette shop? Any info will help. Thanks! Tom

190-200 at cruise would be within reason, the thermostat doesnt open until 180

idling it'll get to ~230F and should then come back down

dont trust the analog gauge, its not linear

Thanks for that info. The analog guage has been the one showing really hot, although the digital really never goes bellow 213 f and stays bellow 230 f. I'm going to flush just to be safe though.
