i purchased a hotcam off ebay and the whole site is confusing. it says new cam but pictures are used. go to ebay search winning#8060159798 thank you for any responses
Did you win the bid? The item description says new but it does look used from looking at the lobes. It also says AS-IS so you can't return it if you won. Not a bad price but false advertisment if used. Your stuck with it if you won. IMO
looking @ the sellers feedback I would say your all set . in the add it mentions that it's new 3 times . I'm sure with his feedback rating and Items sold that he /she would list there items correctly . I wish I could comment on the cam for ya but I have no knowledge of them .
He says it's new and his feedback is real good, so you're probably gonna be OK. You might consider doing paypal with a credit card so you have a little extra clout if push comes to shove.
I had a dispute with paypal on a part that was out and out misrepresented and I proved it to them, but they were still iffy on getting the seller to take it back.
Im not 100% sure from the pictures, but it looks like it just might be some packaging oil on it to me, mixed with some finger prints and smudges....most cams come with a film of oil (sometimes dark) on the lobes, and after it's removed from the bag and turned one way or another, the oil can run down the lobes

That is one of those Ebay sellers that sells what people bring in, for a fee. He may not know jack about what he sells. That said, even if its not new, I would not worry. Roller cams last forever, under normal use. You got a good deal.
