Mine's a very similar custom grind (CompCam (0.577/0.573, 230/236 duration, 112 LSA +2*)), I'd agree with the assessment. The overlap is the same as the 467, I couldn't believe how smoothly it idled.

I only got to run it at the track twice before I broke the bottom end, so I can tell you a little about how well it performed; quite well.

I'm very satisfied with my cam, see sig., which is also very similar to the 467. Engine idles at about 900 rpm and really moves past 4000 rpm all the way up until I shift at about 6300-6400.

Is that a custom grind?

I'm looking for a cam with those specs as well.

I believe your talking about the 280 XFI here's the blurb from CC

"XFI" 280 Hydraulic Roller Camshaft
GM LT1 & LT4 350ci 1993-96
Lift: .576"/.570" w/1.6 Rockers
Duration: 280°/288°
RPM Range: 2000-6000
Duration Advertised: 280° Intake / 288° Exhaust
Duration @ .050'' Lift: 230° Intake / 236° Exhaust
Valve Lift w/1.6 Rockers: .576'' Intake / .570'' Exhaust
Lobe Separation Angle: 113°

"Strong mid-range and top end. Will require headers gears & stall speed. Strong idle."

CC states it has a strong idle. If PCM for Less recomended it I'd trust their judgement and follow their recommendations.
