6e TPI Highway Mode - huh?
I'm going to be using a 6e definition file, I started with an APYP bin file as that is supposed to be fairly close to what he has currently. What I'm noticing though in my APYP bin is that highway mode appears to be disabled.
The reason I assume it is disabled is because the "minimum coolant temp for highway mode spark" and "minimum coolant temp for highway mode fuel" are both set to the maximum of 151.25*C.
Another thing that seems odd is that the "max RPM for Highway Mode Spark" is set to 900 RPM, this seems extremely low, the car should pull more than 900 RPM's running down the highway.
I guess I'm just confused as to what this system actually does, and how it should be configured. From the name I would ASSUME (dangerous I know) that Highway Mode is a set of modifications to the fuel and spark tables so as to increase fuel economy under "highway conditions" which to me would mean relatively low RPM, relatively low load conditions.
Does anybody know more details about this set of values, how to configure them properly? Or if you don't know directly does anybody know if there are any good writeups out there about how this system is supposed to operate?
Thanks a bunch, I want this to be a turn key operation as much as possible, and with your help I know we can get it there.
