My 95 auto FX3 has a SYS light that comes on next to the speedometer. It flashes where you would see the digital coolant, inst MPH, oil temp, and avg MPH readouts. It flashes 3 times one second apart and goes out for about 12 sec and flashes 3 times one second apart again...and so on. I have a SERVICE LTPWS, LOW/FLAT TIRE, and PKE warnings on the DIC. The first two are due to the tire shop cutting the band on the tire pressure sensor on the right front tire so its not on the rim...I know that. The PKE is on because my fob quit working and is trash...I know that. But why is the SYS flashing? Any suggestion of previous instances.
EDIT: I have battery disconnect switches on the neg and pos terminals and the car get driven once every 2-3 weeks...50,500 miles on the clock.
Didn't see this before posting http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show....php?t=1384791

my 96 manual shows a c means "current" and h means "history" but they both point to invalid vehicle configuration. From the manual,
" a dtc 81 will set when startup has occured and the ccm's stored engine configuration does not match the config. info received from the pcm." Unless you replaced the ccm or pcm recently, my guess would be a ccm problem.
Thanks Dave, yes I did not mention this. The CCM in my car took a dump and was replaced with a 96 CE CCM. So the SYS light will be on FOREVER
I'll have to check on this, but I think the ccm stores the mileage readout on the lcd display. If your mileage readout has changed, then I think you only have 100 miles before the ccm locks and the car won't start. It has to be reprogramed by a very expensive tool that only dealers have. I think it's called a "tech II" but not sure. This is done to prevent odometer rollbacks.
