Almost too good to be true, and you know what they say when, "If it's too good to be true..." I noticed in the "description", they don't list the number of rows of tubes in the core, or what the radiator is made out of. Both items are BASIC radiator specs. For $120.00, I'd run away. I would only buy an OEM replacement or OEM duplicate with an aluminum core, unless I needed extraordinary cooling capacity, in which case I would buy a Dewitt's. Modine makes an excellent, stock, OEM replacement, radiator, for a reasonable price.

That seller has over 9,100 feedbacks and not a single negative. That's impressive. I personally would not buy that radiator without knowing what part/brand model number it is and do some research. I'd ask the seller for that and do a google on it to find out more.

What COULD you expect, with approximately 40% of the $120.00 price being freight. Almost $50.00 to ship anywhere in the 48 Continental United States, with no possibility of picking it up. That makes me wonder where he's hiding, and how much of that freight is "padding". Concerning the fabulous feed back. I noticed that is an eBay only enterprise. Without knowing better, it raises questions of bias, in MY mind. Caveat Emptor!

You know, it looks like a great deal. Below is a cut and pasted quote from their site.
[B]GUARANTEE: If you receive a Damaged item we contact UPS and have the item picked up and a Replacement sent at No Cost to YOU!
WARRANTY: If your product is defective within the warranty period THE RADIATOR CONNECTION pays for the return shipping and the replacement shipping to get you back on the road quickly! No Other Seller Offers this IMPORTANT Guarantee![/B
Now my question would be this. What is the Warranty period? I didnt see it anywhere on the site. ]

Changed my radiator about 1 1/2 years ago with a GM replacement. Put the old one on Ebay twice to sell. Could not get one bid for even $20. The radiatior does not leak and pretty clean in and out. I had a cooling problem but the radiator was not the source of the problem. Since I had already special ordered the radiator, I installed it.
So here I sit with this radiator and shipping box in the garage. I did check with UPS and it was about $30 to ship depending on distance. So anyone need it, it's yours, hate to see it just sit there. Its for auto trans, but will of course work for manual.

Thanks for all of the advice. I did order it (before most of the posts) and I will post what I think of it. We'll see what I get for being in a hurry.

I just ordered one off ebay from partsladi-gm-delco-parts-direct with 100% feed back. New Delco GM. Packaged shipped and works fine. $130.00 and $15.00 for shipping. Very Happy

On the subject of warranty. How long could it be? One year, two? Such a warranty would only cover the most glaring and gross defects. My factory radiator is 23 years old and shows no signs of trouble. It may fail tomorrow. Such a warranty would be for "show", only. Even the cheapest of offshore "will-fits" ought to hang together for that long before all the joints fail and it falls apart.
quickcat,
Please keep us up to date. I, for one, would like to know what it is made of and how many rows of tubes in the core. After it is installed, we would like to know how it cools.

I have used the parts lady, I know her supplier, good service.
My radiator came from GMparts direct. It was 1 1/4 inch thick but don't remember how many tubes. Think you will probably get the same.

Coming from "GMparts direct" and being only 1 1/4" thick it had to be one row of tubes. The factory radiator has a 1 row, aluminum, core. That is what you would have bought. It takes about 3 rows of tubes in a copper/brass radiator to equal the cooling capacity of a one row/aluminum core radiator such as the stock, OEM, Corvette, radiator.

Your probably right with one row of tubes. The new thicker (old 7/8") radiator did lower my temps by 10* to 15*. What I dont understand is once in there and removing the old radiator and looking at all the room, I could't understand why GM did not use a bigger radiator. There is tons of room.
If the radiator was big enough then the thermostat could do its job regulating the temp and not the radiator being the direct and limiting factor of cooling temperatures. Everybody talks about the vett being a hot running engine and overheating but it my opinion the radiator is under rated. My jeep uses a 195* and never over heats because the radiator is sized correctly.......I'm done. charge on

Well I got it put in today and so far I am impressed. The new radiator I got from the vendor on Ebay not only was the same tube width as the original but it has 4 more tubes. I recommend them to anyone needing a radiator. Good product and great price!

Here is a comparison of the original and the one I got from The Radiator Connection on Ebay.
I cannot give accurate data on the new radiator's performance because my CCM is on the blink. I can say however that it is running cooler in the city and the fans run for a much shorter time during a fan cycle.
