Headers and Backfiring! Please Help

I just got finished installing my EM headers. I deleted the AIR system and EGR system. I got a custom chip burned for this setup. Now with everything installed I am getting an intermittent backfire on the right bank. Sometimes it runs for five six minutes perfectly and sometimes it just backfires a bunch.
Today I got everything buttoned up and it sounds great but it is still backfiring and now I am getting a code 26 prompt.
Did my tuner screw up the chip or am I looking for something else?
Also is this thing safe to drive, or should I get it towed? I have the old exhaust on it but I am taking it to get a full 3" system installed.

Is it backfiring out the intake or just dumping fuel into the exhaust?

there is nothing coming out of the intake it just feels like fuel exploding out of the exhaust or bad timing. i think
