Default w/RPO BAK??

Does anyone know what is meant by "with RPO BAK" or without RPO BAK. I noticed this in the Corvette Central catalog under clutch kits for a 93 Corvette. I have a 93 and I replaced the clutch earlier this year using a Perfection Clutch kit. There wasn't a reference for two different kits for the same 1993 year. I want to make sure I installed the correct unit.

I certainly appreciate any advice you can offer.

I think I figured it out. I believe rpo BAK should actually be B2K the Callaway Twin Turbo option. I think Corvette Central listed the wrong code.

There were no RPO B2Ks in 1993. Option code RPO B2K ended in 1991 with the last of the L98 engined Corvettes.

Check the Corvette Action Center (www.corvetteactioncenter.com). They have a very extensive list RPO numbers and what each referred to for each specific production year.

Here's the CAC link to GM RPO codes: http://www.corvetteactioncenter.com/tech/rpo/index.html Nothing like BAK shows up.

The only clutch differences I can think of in '93 might be the LT1 and LT5 clutch assemblies.

Sounds like Corvette Central has a typo/bad proofreader.

BAK was used in in 93 only
"Diagnostic system OBD 2 Emission requirements"

This is straight out of GM Production Option book by GM service parts.

These codes are on the inside of the console door. I believe this code is only shown on the label if your car has it.

that's odd... OBD 2 didn't become available until 1995, and was a requirement in 1996.
