I just got through bypassing the vats system in my 89 roadster, about 20 minutes and was all done, bought part to do it from Mid America, I have gotten tired of sometimes waiting on the car to start and have had to walk home twice, after reading VASH'S comments on vats I didn't think I had much to lose (yah I know the car now has no security) the instructions stated exactly what my car was doing and that this would solve this problem, hopefully this works.
Please see my post under your "VATS bypass" thread. PLEASE keep us posted as to wether this cures your problems. This is a major concern to me as I do not have any type insurance that would cover theft.
Thanks.
