I had finally gotten my digital dash cluster working on my 85, when driving home the speedometer and fuel rate went to 0 Again. I know the ground wire kept coming loose from the top connector, but I have the car running and I'm using pliers to push wire in abit farther, but the fuel rate is still not getting signal, I'm wondering if the speedo wire is not making good contact, sometimes it comes on but when that happens both options come on/off same time, most the time its off---what color wire is the speedo wire
I found the solid pink wire, but there are "3" pink wires with black lines--anyhow all the wires seem to be making fine contact--I have no idea where to look anymore,,,,its like sometimes the 2 displays work and sometimes they don't, but odd thing is they both either work/don't work together, everything else is fine, I need to get me an electrical handbook for my car...
found the culprit of my speedo problem, I have the keisler tranny with the dakota digital calibrator, the calibrator plug piece broke off the small circuit board----""poor" soldering was done on this, so the wires were barely making contact. I completely forgot about that piece...I unhooked it, resoldered it and now I gotta figure out how these wires go back on--my mistake was not writing down which wire goes where...?
