Electric antenna bit the dust...
This is probably the simplest question ever, but my electric antenna is stuck fully extended, and my guess is that I need to replace the mast and cable. The manuals I have don't have procedure, can anyone help? I am not sure if I should start from underneath, through the side panel, etc....

the mast is up and the motor doesn't spin?
it could be a dead antenna, but I would want to do a diag to be sure the relay is ok...
do you have the helm manual? If not, I highly recommend you invest in it. it has all the diags needed to solve this problem.
In short, replacing the antenna on a C4 is much like doing a toncilectomy, rectally.
You have to remove both the interior panels AND the left rear tire and inner fender panel.
It's that ugly.
I would take the interior apart and check for the harness that connects the antenna to the rest of the electrical system.
If you take the left and center rear panels off, remove the left side foam, you will find the antenna lead, follow that to a grommet in the rear fender, follow the wires back to the latch and look for the harness. put a volt meter there and see if you can find 12v. if so, then the antenna is more than likely DOA.
